Weekend’s here, no more quibble
strings on woodwind, troubles
leaving, wings of oysters, bubbling
wine and excitement doubles
skin on satin, blood is boiling
licking gently, teasing tickle,
dribble, dribble earlobes nibble,
breathlessly nude, unbuckled
shaking wriggles roar and ripple
ecstatic sobs erected nipples.

Edouard Manet
Today it is Quadrille with Mish hosting at dVerse. 44 words and you have to include the word nibble. When I started to write this I took inspiration from the witches in McBeth.
February 7, 2022
I’m not on dverse tonight but I saw your poem and just had to like it.
Sounds like a fun time!
Wow! This poem has a lot of energy and movements – from bubbling to tickling. Reading your note now, gives this a perspective.
Oh my, despite all the action, there is still so much to imagine between the lines.
Oh my! I’m thinking of the line in When Harry Met Sally, “I’ll have what she’s having.” 😉
“…dribble, dribble, earlobes nibble…” Willy woulda liked this as much as I do, I think. Nice quad, BR.
I can’t think of anything better to pass the time in the middle of winter.
Ha, ha! No holds barred – quite literally!
Haha! a smorgasbord of sounds, and a sensing that Spring is just around the corner up in the great north!
Where did you get those oysters?!
Ha… I think in the right company any oyster works.
Well, that was unexpected for a Monday evening in February 🙂
I want to be this poem!
A sensuous mood, teamed with a clever choice of image
Happy Monday
much love…
Love the soft supple rhyming, nicely done sir.
So much delicious energy!
Your poems belong in the adult section, Bjorn. Passion unbridled!
Well hello there! The urgency of the writing certainly matched pace with the lovers passion. Nice!
you have obviously been in the correc peoples company today. great qudrille
Just another nibble from Bjorn! Love the word play!
sounds like the oyster were effective. Well done!
Is this how they stay warm where you are (besides going out for a run)? 😉 I am feeling quite warm right now from your sensual word bites!
Oh, I love the sounds in this one, starting with the woodwind. You remind us that we can hear nibbling. Beautiful, Björn.
Now that’s my kind of weekend!
Nicely done, this reminded me of my wife
I like the juxtaposition of Macbeth and eroticism here.
Crikey, Björn, that is some potion being brewed!
one of the most sensual poems I’ve had the pleasure of reading!
Haha! While mine just hinted at the action, this took it much further! Very sensual. Perfect for winter nights.
Oh My … I sank into each line, every word … did not want to emerge.
