So much is wasted,
in breathless peeking
through the keyhole
at skin exposed
in the unlit chamber
with drawn curtains.
When Susie prompt us to write about keyholes at toads and Victoria prompt for imagism at dVerse I had to combine the ideas and at the same time do some marketing for the book I have contributed a story to. On February first the book will also be available at iTunes.
Story came thru a keyhole he said he would be great if I had to be born it might as a signifier of enlightenment and truth-seeking.
Love the title..what one can’t see through a keyhole is lot!
YaY congratulations on the book Bjorn 😀
Is that for release on iTunes or iBooks? >
iTunes includes iBooks… 🙂 but you have to have an apple device to read… 🙂 I have a few paper copies also.
On my iPad, iBooks is a separate app. It’s also a separate app on my iMac. I’m up to armpits with Apple devices. 😀 Anyway, I find reading more pleasurable on my iPad, and it’s easier to pack around with me.
iTunes is the store also for iBooks I think
Correct.
Those peaks through the keyhole never lived up to their promise.
Ha…so much time wasted looking through keyholes when one should just walk through the door! Smiles.
I was hoping you would do some fabulous self promo with the Toads prompt! And this fits perfectly (one might say as a key) for the imagist prompt, as well.
OMG. The glasses. What is it with the glasses?! Glasses leave me breathless. 🙂
That was the first thing I thought of when I read the prompt … your book.
There should be no such thing as an “un-lit chamber.” Every chamber needs books.
How do I go about ordering a paper copy? (I have no Apple device, unfortunately).
I have a few copies .. But we also expect to have it on Kindle…
So much is wasted…so much depends–I enjoyed the parallel her and the crisp description. Congrats on the book! I need to get a copy.
congratulations on the book!
Well if you are going to peep through a keyhole it should be well lit. 🙂 Congratulations on the book and participating in the prompt!!
Congratulations, Bjorn !!! It ought to be an interesting read.
You never know what you will seen until you see it.
The prompt reminded me of a situation. But she reads my blog so I abstained. Thanks for reading what I did put.
..
Love the keyhole and hope the book is a success. Will look out for it. Sounds like an interesting idea for stories.
Excellent, Bjorn. And congrats on the book! Yay!
An intriguing illicit peek through the keyhole.
I’m sure you must be very proud of the book. Love the pic.
🙂
Congrats Bjorn
Much love…
Congratulations.
Many congrats on the book–love that skin! k.
Intriguing poem! Congratulations on the book.
(On being in the book, I meant to say.)
Good piece. Congratulations on the book, Bjorn. 🙂 — Suzanne
nice one & congratulations Bjorn…
Yeah, but we gotta try, don’t we … sins of all the young(ish) dudes. Good luck on the book
Congratulations on the book. You described the keyhole so well and its place in so many lives!
I like how you incorporated the title of your new book to your poem, Bjorn, Loved the “skin exposed.” I wish you great success with the book!
Enjoy that opening line! Being published is always fun. Congrats.
