Dear Bartender

Spill us glassed,
your sparkling sips
of fairy-green absinthe;
pour us g(r)ins of
shimmered rose-dance,
skip-twist-swirls on ice
and melt our minds tonight.

Breeze us bold and
bring on bacchanals.
Open shadows,
lull with leaves;
let’s bubble-cloud our brains;
unjar and journey us insane.

  1. Ooh, gauntlet thrown. I’ll fight you for her. 😉

    Very yum:
    “sparkling sips
    of fairy-green absinth(e)”
    “shimmered rose-dance”
    “Breeze us bold and
    bring on bacchanals.”

  2. Lovely stuff! Love it when people can use constraints so effectively. You must be heading towards magnetic poetry by now, if you’re using all the quadrille prompts.

  3. Hey, bartender pour me grins, I’d like to add some sparkle to my day. I might have to borrow that line Bjorn. Amazing how you incorporated all the words. I wonder what I could conjure up.

  4. let’s bubble-cloud our brains;
    unjar and journey us insane.

    This is insane! Beautifully rendered more so with all the words smoothly intruding within!

    Hank
