When I see eyes of children
starving, bellies swollen.
I wonder if my problem
lies in first of first perspective.
The I in I, the eye for eye
and maybe first should be
a second, even third and move
what’s third to first perspective.
A second offering writing for Victoria’s prompt at dVerse writing in the first perspective.

Damn, this is good.
So much to ponder in this one, Bjorn. I really appreciate how you played with the concept of perspective. Poignant reminder to us to step outside of that first person.
Very thoughtful. Peace, Linda
The first person, it matters most to all of us…I and I… the world would be a different place only if we could open our eyes widely with love and compassion in them…
Powerful lines…
A different perspective to ponder on our ‘first person’ and how that affects others.
This is so touching!!
the perspective of I and eye. My, a lot to consider.
Such an amazing write – this perspective and the quote so hits home to those of us who do ponder these things and who care.
YES.
As Kid President says, we need fewer Selfies, and more OtherPeoplies. 😉
as they say here, first world problems… there are just so many humans now – and each of us puts ourselves first… ~
Amen
Perfect response to this. and I second that Amen.
Oh, what a lesson for the world this holds!
Yes, change begins within one’s self and flows outward as compassion and love..it could/would change the world.
This word play….gives so much to think about, sort through, and realize…there are deep truths here.
