Still(ness)
(Di)stilled –
your sunhat rests
in perfect harmony
with my umbrella.
Cause formaldehyde
replaced my blood
your ash is scattered
and has stilled the waves.
Still your sunhat rests
and gently folds itself
around my dry umbrella.

Ha ha. Do I really see what I think I see? Probably not. Well, I see what I see. But that doesn’t mean you said what I read. ya dig?
This is now my favorite poem.
Well written and quite dark. Good write.
Oh WOW, Bjorn–this is exquisite.
As sad as it could be, I like that the two lovers are together again with her hat and his umbrella holding each other close. The two of them now on their greatest adventure.

Terse and bittersweet
A beautiful melancholy piece.
they are together…very wistful
Oh, those few things are all that are left. Nicely done.
As if the things are trying to communicate their feelings that are still present though the person may not be there.
Wistful melancholy; well done.
How sweet a love story.
LOVE this take. The scientific feel of “distilled” and the word “formaldehyde.” The love poem of it. Well done.
interesting thought that the formaldehyde has replaced the blood of the survivor. Death of a loved one can certainly feel that way. Nice write!
Tender and quite exquisite. I just love it.

I dont think i will ever move it , finding the knife through my heart each time i look at it far less painful…
Melancholy yes, but also comforting.
A person’s demise will not cause too much changes to life around him. Life goes on! Wonderful take Bjorn!

I love the clever interplay between the title and the opening line.
Such a beautiful artwork, and your words read right into it. I loved it.
A wistful tale beautifully told …
What’s let behind stirs sweet memory. Nice one
Much love…
Cause formaldehyde
replaced my blood
your ash is scattered
and has stilled the waves.
