Once in London a querulous lady.
was scaring the guys and making them shaky
but one brought a gun
and ended her fun
that’s how it goes when mingling with shadies.
Just a limerick, I have a chance of doing 30 poems in April.. so I hope this count.

What a splendid word: querulous. Completely yummy.
A great word indeed. 🙂 In Swedish there’s a good word kverulant for a querulous person.
Very close on the ear.
A limerick counts in my books! And I’ll take the advice to not mingle with shadies! 🙂
at least not be querulous with shadies 🙂
certainly good advice!
It counts!
Boom! That’s some kind of instant karma. Was she from Nantucket?
Ha.. might very well be.
Clever, dark and droll. I’m going to have to take a closer look at your limerick poems, one of these days. I love humorous poetry (reading and writing) but I have yet to pull off a limerick verse that has any panache to it … As with this one, a good limerick ought to be a little bit cheeky and irreverent, I think. That, to me, is kind of the point of the genre. That said … good one!
Yikes! I guess that is how it goes when mingling with the wrong sort. Dark and witty.
Wow, Bjorn. That was quick and to the point. 😀 — Suzanne
