Fleece his skinless heart

A tumbled clown, alone
emitting choking bursts
of tears; instilling our laughter.
Behind his painted mask,
a sealing scab — a scar to be
it fills another open wound
with sounds of breaking glass.
Come fleece a skinless heart
he’s freezing.

  1. it’s like that song “tears of a clown”
never really know what is going on in the mind of the man
    behind the make up…

    i was a travelling clown once…

  2. Freezing sums it up quite nicely, I think. A heart that chooses to no longer feel. A great sense of pain here..
