frost clinging
to the old oak’s limbs –
like spinster’s lace

  1. Oh, spinster lace — very nice! Reminds me of the parlor in my great aunt Pearl’s house. Lots of lace everywhere – curtains, doilies — even her collars. 🙂

  2. Yes, that lace, though not quite of a spinster; my grandmothers doilies.

    Don’t know about Elsa… I haven’t gotten to Disney’s Frozen.
I was mixing Medusa with perhaps the Ice Queen from Narnia, but I don’t remember her name.

      • More along the lines of Women who are ‘ice queens’ –
emotionally. Not really based on any one – save Medusa who actually did turn foe into stone.

Interesting to not that Medusa started out as a beauty.
