Gorgeous haiku and i like that word ‘hoar-frost’ … maybe that’s the word i sought for instead of ‘ripe’ as i have used.
Yes hoar-frost or rime seems to be the right word.. in Swedish it is rimfrost.. 🙂
Wow! 🙂
Bjorn, Lovely. The branches do look a bit like lace. Well written. 🙂 — Suzanne
Wonderful!
Very creative 🙂
Oh, spinster lace — very nice! Reminds me of the parlor in my great aunt Pearl’s house. Lots of lace everywhere – curtains, doilies — even her collars. 🙂
Your haiku are amazing. Spinster’s lace – wonderful image!
Yes, that lace, though not quite of a spinster; my grandmothers doilies.
Don’t know about Elsa… I haven’t gotten to Disney’s Frozen.
I was mixing Medusa with perhaps the Ice Queen from Narnia, but I don’t remember her name.
I think here name was only mentioned from her previous world from “the Magician’s nephew” and it was Jadis I think.. There was a Hans-Christian Andersen Ice-queen as well.
More along the lines of Women who are ‘ice queens’ –
emotionally. Not really based on any one – save Medusa who actually did turn foe into stone.
Interesting to not that Medusa started out as a beauty.
just love that last line
I wonder what a spinster would think about this? 😉
Love the spinster’s lace. Kind of cold and sentimental.
Perfect cutting line between the two ethereal images. In my mind, I see this as a haiga, as the words really drawn the gossamer picture.
I feel the chill from hearing the viewinyour words.
nice spinsters lace … interesting that the Swedish word for hoar-frost is rimfrost .. I like that sound.
