your success can just be measuered
in the tiniest amounts you know
and at the end a smile is treasured
for whatever gold you can bestow
it’s not what riches you’ve received
cause if you collect you are deceived

Smiled at this, a really great poem! The ending is so true imho!
truer words there couldn’t be. We were on the same tack :
)
Some days we might need that smile more than anything else!
Oh this is clever! Great write, Bjorn!
For oneself, the competition too, against the self only. Great poem! Seems that even going to the Olympics spells success. Or not going, but knowing.
So true that success is measured in milli-seconds or seconds. I agree with Susan…to even get to the Olympics is success.
Those tiniest moments can make a difference ~ Great theme of using the Olympics ~
‘tiniest amounts’.. yes..love the theme and the rhythm..
In the end the smiles are the real treasures.
smiles…you can def be deceived by success…
but the smile can be the greatest treasure..
that sense of accomplishment….
A smile is a treasure.
You’re so right, Bjorn. Smiles and friendship from family and friends are worth more than gold. Good poem as usaul.
“cause if you collect you are deceived”..nothing can be truer ..
at the end of the day only the smile remains..the feeling of joy.. 🙂
Small gains..big smiles..yes I think that is true!
a smile is effortless in the wake of success…. moments that matter
Success is the satisfaction of achievements. Any rewards accruing are just of efforts given but are merely incidental! Wonderful write Bjorn!
