Very true. Did people talk on the train before “smart” phones? Still. This is closer than driving separate cars.
You are so right. I think people read books.
Yes. Like on buses. I used to knit on the bus, too.
Hm, Interesting cascade
yay !
you are no stranger to me indeed 😀
You have been awarded : http://ladynimue.wordpress.com/2013/02/26/awarded-2/
wouldn’t it be amazing if you looked at someone else’s phone and realised they were writing haiku as you were. now you raise an interesting question, are online friends really strangers? I don’t think so.
Is it strange
that a single common word
pulls us together
Cheers!

Yes, would be nice if someone else was composing a haiku on the train or tram or tube…very true haiku..
Nice … People making shows. Giving impressions. Even on the train. It is a sad story. And a symptom, I think, on the illness of the modern society where all are counted and explained. That is my reflection on your first haiku. But I love them all.
I agree ~ world has become full of strangers ~ haiku at times feels like strangers when they don’t comment ~ Well penned haiku ^_^
stranger still
a room full of teens
texting each other
Technology has changed the way we communicate that is for sure!
“smartphone company” is really dumb company. Sorry, I’ve just had it with people who go out to dinner, and sit across the table from each other, gazing at their little glowing screens instead of into each others’ eyes.
All the Young Strangers
This is so true. Since mobile phones have come into our lives we become more like strangers to eachother. Well done.
smiling at your last haiku 🙂
my cell is for emergencies…I am blown away by the attachment of so many people to their tech,,,,the art of small talk, of meaningful conversation is dying…
This is very much real life!
I love these, so true. Another of your commute photos?
Indeed it is 🙂 sneaky
