What’s that
that irk/some itch,
the glitch
that makes you watch
those loath/some acts
the facts, the catch,
the this and that
that spins your mind
that drives you nuts

Wow! WHAT a crazy-gorgeous spill of words! I love the way this flows.
i enjoyed writing it.
YIPiddy Zoodah,B!
Must say I couldn’t stand to watch them this time.
Definitely left me dizzy. I assume that was the purpose of this artful poem. 😁👍
Why are we so drawn to these things that leave us in a spin of nightmares.
Ah, but do we want to know?!
Love the sounds and the repetition of th words. The this and that can certainly spin our minds.
Love the fluidity and the end rhymes. Lots to make our heads spin these days.
I like this fun poem
I love how you captured the human trait of rubbernecking and being drawn to the awful, and the phrase ‘poisoned treats those nightmares left behind’. I think I must have had some of them this morning.
Terrific poem, Bjorn. Especially loved this line ,”those loath/some acts”
and we eat those treats despite their poison
This is a lovely piece of word play Björn…
Why are we drawn to such irk/some and loath/some itches and acts indeed. Great take, Björn
You chose the perfect image to accompany this wonderful Quadrille!!! Dizzy feels good.
It’s like watching the News on TV these days. What you see sometimes can’t be unseen, which in turn gives one nightmares.
the poisoned treats
those nightmares left
at dawn?
Great lines!
Great rhythm and rhyme–those spinning thoughts that circle all night.
I really love the rhythm of this poem, Bjorn.
Irk/Some as that list may be, the poetry is anything but, keeps us guessing to the beat of the rollicking rhythm. A witty and amusing Q that I really enjoyed.
Ah, lovely, Björn. Enjoyed the read.
I think the answer is TikTok!
