Seduction darkly

My mind abuzz
in closeness
skin to skin
mane on chest,
alloy of breath
that set ablaze
my blood;
my loins, my flesh
while
in my veins
your venom
slowly swirls
to mould
my wit to yours
until
you leave me
colder
than before.

  1. Snakily dark and setting blood ablaze – love it, Björn, especially:

    ‘in my veins
    your venom
    slowly swirls
    to mould
    my wit to yours’.

  2. Oh wow, the poem itself was like a temptation with it’s terse lines pulling me in. Intense and so effective with that chilly ending.

  3. Whew…..my pulse is rocking with these words!
    “while
    in my veins
    your venom
    slowly swirls”
and these add to the seduction and wariness for me.

  4. Always brushing denotes like for a person. We had to keep Minnie’s mane short because she developed a fistula. She liked me, I rode her to school. She would nuzzle me, but rubbing her mane was like brushing my skin with a stiff brush.

  5. It feels just like being eaten by a wolf, doesn’t it?… And yet, he still had three hands left. The balls he held were questionable at best, but Skadi knew how to dance them.

Good words. Many meanings can be derived from them.

  6. o dear that was such a disappointing ending.

Björn, thanks for dropping by my blog

    much♡love

  7. Whoosh!! From the title of your quadrille to the last word ~~ Dark Seduction is quite the attention grabber!!

  8. I love the contrast of how velvety smooth this reads thanks to your evocative description compared with the short terse lines – aligned in form and content.
