This is not my denial

Neither stars nor the sickle moon waxing
not the tempest tearing at twilight
not even the luscious lustre of midsummer sun,
but your heartbeat in step with my breath
the scent of you — barely awakened
the tone of your voice when you ask me for help,
when I’m too tired to care;
all what it is, and what it is not,
is the answer to why, to how or even with whom.

  1. This is absolutely stunning work done, Bjorn! I especially love; “not even the luscious lustre of midsummer sun, but your heartbeat in step with my breath.” Yes! 💙💙

  2. Beautiful sentiments, I can imagine this being read to a child that is falling asleep, even though I think the main allusion would be romance.

  3. Love this Björn, and such a vool image you coaxed out if Bing. Bravo my friend! 🙂✌🏼🫶🏼

  4. Such a declaration of love – the very essence yet not without the hint of human frailty which is the setting for such a jewel…

  5. What is and what is not breathes the sum total of why when it’s wrapped up in the one we love: so beautifully ruminative and extraordinarily touching.
