Today the ground was covered with a thin layer of snow. The first snow. I had slept well but woke up at five, and unable to sleep any more I lay in bed feeling miserable with a slight cold stabbing my throat. Then suddenly a message came, I have my first assignment for my new company, a workshop only to be held in the next few weeks. Then at dawn I found that the sky was clear and no windchill meant that the morning walk was pleasant. At lunch I could feel a modest caress of warmth from the pale sun, and my cold dissipated. A good day and the beginning of a week.

That first snow always seems to promise something new and exciting, doesn’t it? Glad it turned out to be so.
Indeed, and it helps that we could both work from home.
You write about first snow, I write about eating outside in the sun. Just a few degrees makes such a difference!
Indeed it does… it has been cold for the season here.
And here, warm for the season. The climate is definitely off kilter.
