Exposures and daffodils

This week we felt
for the first time
how a compassionate breeze
frolicking on skin, in hair
while dandelion yellowness
enlighten last year’s grass with the
brightness of sun

We erupt in laughter
with the cerulean skies,
while still waiting to burst
the buds on the branches
spring walks barefoot through
the bristling corpses of bracken
while effortlessly she
hides the paragon of shadows

This week ends with
with overcast drabness,
still the seedtime
and skein of geese passing
high above
have made it clear how winter
wither to the melodies
of giggling waters, no longer
exposing our discords

Today Sanaa hosts dVerse with a form that is new to me, the last lines in each stanza should bring forth an idea, a thought and notion. The form is called Line messaging and has been created by Angel Favazza.

  1. Love this. The poem in its entirety is so palpable and strong! Especially moved by; “Spring walks barefoot through the bristling corpses of bracken while effortlessly she hides the paragon of shadows.” Thank you so much for writing to the prompt, Bjorn 💙💙

  2. I love the message and the poem, Björn! I especially enjoyed the ‘compassionate breeze frolicking on skin, in hair’ and the lines ‘spring walks barefoot through the bristling corpses of bracken’ lovely sounds and images.
