Don’t tell me it’s maybe
No darling, please baby
You must not say no
don’t go that low
Come holler and yell
much closer and tell
in barks, boom and blast
when gladly at last
you roar me your yay
while making my day.
Today at dVerse we Quadrille with De using the word roar. I had a bit fun with rhymes.
Nice beat, nice rhyming, lots of fun. I do wonder what their marriage will be like, though. Noisy, I guess.
Sounds better than silent though 🙂
Rhymes, and alliteration. LOVING this:
“in barks, boom and blast”
I love it YAY!!!!
Hope she says yes😊
Much❤💃🕺🏽💃🏽❤love
I can see you had fun with this one, Björn! Great rhyming and alliteration, and a tempestuous relationship by the sound of it.
Your smile shows up in the verses, and the fun you had is contagious.
Fun with this post! HURRAH! Put a smile on my face. 🙂
Wonderful lyrical quality to this. I can hear it singing in my head. Reminds me of a Rogers & Hammerstein tune.
Love this! And it fits so perfectly with the photo. Your poem reminded me of one of my favorite songs by the Mavericks called “O What a Thrill.” You can listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E4nF9VBxM0
Linda, I know that song and it is a perfect fit.
Love it Bjorn- and love the rhyming!
Sounds as if you have your hands full …. and love every minute! A fun read, Bjorn.
I like the roaring of the yay.
Very cute! But I’d advise her to say “no”. Smile
I enjoyed the rhyming scheme it was fun to read. Roar that desire of love!
This was FUN!

Good rhythm, and a nice retro picture!
Fun and flirtatious. This would make a great Valentine’s Day card.
An invitation, though not guaranteed, a teaser.
Björn, I love the twangy country song feel of this quadrille. The rhyming, the word choice, and especially that deep knowledge that saying no is going low, and true love means roaring out authentically. Thank you for the big smile on my face.
Men roar and women lure, but what then happens to all that noise? I love this. It is full of fun.
LOL Love it!
Nice! I like the roar energy.
Great quadrille with rhythm to light a smile. Who wouldn’t want a roaring answer to make their day?
I’m behind on reading! I like the energy here–like a rock and roll song. 🙂
