Horizing

It’s not the scent
of vertical rain,
but how the shadows
where spun
from a cumulus cloud
to flee with the wind
cross the vastness
of sea and to meet
the horizon
   I knew.

  1. Not the rain itself but the shadows between.. I love the way you saw this image – and the understanding that is experienced at the end is a grand finale.

  2. I stopped in yesterday, and was so enchanted by the possibilities of the prompt, I failed to comment. This is a realist view of the painting, well that is up until the close. Then it becomes filled with wonder. Sensational write, Bjorn.
