Crossroads

What if I treated every moment
as a crossroad to another’s life?

Do I really know the pots of gold
I’ve missed
when I’ve kept walking straight ahead?

What if, by turning left instead
I found my home,
were everything’s the same
except who’s there?

What if you and me, were me
with someone else?

  2. The final question is most telling. I think you have taken the image of the crossroad to something quite personal, yet in a way we can relate too.
