Unlucky and yucky

There once was a boy from Kentucky,
who was always considered unlucky.
When he met with a girl
with the sweetest of curls,
he tripped and his face became mucky,
she said: “You’re too messy and yucky”,
and left with her diamonds and pearls.

Forty four words is really too much for limerick, but with a word like yucky I had to make an effort… somehow this fitted with Pigpen, the character from Peanuts. De hosts the Quadrille challenge at dVerse

  1. Loved the limerick levity. I considered that, but Trump jumped up and stole my focus; hate it when that happens.

  2. Well this little ditty is a cross between a limerick and a quadrille, but it surely is worth a smile!
