Iridescent a rain-
bowed scent of green.
when after rain;
sheened in simmered
dusk she nests herself
besides him, rests
still silent, husked
and hiding seeds of yes.
In flowered verdancy,
her hair embraces
shields, the lover’s lips,
slips to spring when
melodies are green.

Lots of love,

Lovely.. It’s raining as I read this which only adds to the luxurious feel of it.
I love the looks and sounds of the phrase “flowered verdancy”. It evokes an explosion of colors and life in bloom.
Just stunning on so many levels, Bjorn. I like what you did with rain-
bowed. You are so skilled at wordplay.
love the unseen strength and power in “hiding seeds of yes.” …another amazing one, Bjorn…
the image and the diction in your poem got me smiling. as it is about myth and nature, I can’t help but feel at peace with it. Remarkable!
This is stunning. Especially the opening line, where you hide (where you hide) “iridescent terrain.” Ear/eye descent to rain. De-scent to reign. Die scent to rein. There’s so much to find and feel, just within that one line.
“when after rain;
sheened in simmered
dusk she nests herself”
I also see “hiding seeds of yes-
terday.”
I love this:
“her hair embraces
shields”
Beautiful, beautiful work. Hibernation. We all need it if we’re to survive.
Also, I love the idea of an “after rain.” The gentle water-petals that fall on your face after dangerous storms have passed over.
Some days I sit and just dream… spring is beauty…
Gorgeous….I LOVE, “hiding seeds of yes.”
I like the idea of green melodies. Lovely.
Beautiful. Enjoyed reading it 🙂
Well this one sings! Made me thinking of raising falling on hot concrete and the sizzle and relief – and electricity it brings
ah the music of Springs return, Nice
much love…
All the s sounds give a shhhhh, hush sounds. Lovely
A slow and sensual piece of poetry. Gorgeous!
lover’s lips,
slips to spring when
melodies are green.
A lot of goodness evoked with hues of green than other colors. Great!
