The brushstrokes of enlightenment
can be traced from earthworms’ trails,
in the way the dewdrops sparkle.
and in the tilt of dandelion heads.
The psalms of wisdom
are winds that’s kissing canopies
the lullabies in mountain streams,
and the way the grass can rise
forgetting weight of footsteps,
It will teach you more than books.
Today it’s 55 words at toads, and Kerry want’s a touch of Zen as well. I will also link this to Poetry Pantry

And the way the grass can rise forgetting the weight of footsteps….absolutely marvelous! What determination in these words.
I definitely feel the zen in this close observation of nature. Perfect detail!
The way the grass rises up again is a wonderful metaphor for the teacher of wisdom, Bjorn. Thanks . K.
I feel the wide open spaces calling as I read your words. A connection with the earth is essential to enlightenment, I believe.
Oh, Bjorn, how beautiful! A touch of Zen rendered into the most gorgeous poetry.
I loved the depiction of grass lifting itself up from the weight of footsteps and rising up in glory 😀
Loved this poem!

Greatest teacher : Nature!!:) and your beautiful country is full of such beautiful wisdom…………….
indeed, one has to look to nature and can learn much.
Such an abundance of lessons learned from observing the miracles of nature, and hopefully, practiced in example.
Inspiring!

Enlightenment and wisdom are basic ingredients found in nature that many may well discover and emulate! Truly so Bjorn!

We specialise our learning behind a desk but broaden it immeasurably by walking free on earth. Beautifully written Bjorn.
Mother Nature has a great storehouse of wisdom. Power also. We should treat her nice and be good stewards of the forgiving Earth she rules. I like the idea of how her grass can recover from being trod on. A lesson and model for us.
..
Nature certainly is the best teacher of all! Sometimes looking at and appreciating our surroundings teaches us more than books ever can.
Bjorn this is a favorite of mine…I kept saying yes, yes, yes….
‘and the way the grass can rise
forgetting weight of footsteps,
It will teach you more than books.’
A perfect quote and lesson for us all to be more in nature…
I think that sometimes we forget that Nature can ‘teach us more than books’. People, Nature, books we need a healthy balance of these in our lives.
