wonderful take on orange and the glow going down to embers.
Mesmerizing to watch a fire die…
Bjorn,
The word “caress” makes this sound comforting and almost loving, but when you think of this in the context of winter, dying embers can mean freezing to death. In any case, great imagery.

A fire does seem warmest just before it dies out. Not much is as relaxing as the warmth of fire.
beautiful
Love this.. great imagery

Fires are mesmerising.
A perfect winter fireplace haiku 🙂
Nothing as warming to body and mind as a fire.
Drawn to the glow for one last warming of the backside before heading for bed, the old woman pokes at the dying embers.
So much to take form your simple haiku.
sleeping time. wonderful
Beautiful Björn, a great painting of the end of a nice and romantic evening … the flames die and than that nice color orange for a while …
Lovely image and the last line gives us a hint the night continues.
Another reminder that I haven’t put a fire in my hearth since it has been repaired…. one can get lost even in those motionless flames.
Yes, I generally do have fun when I write 😉
The added bonus was the Red Wolf Word list.
Another friend offered me a different ‘orange challenge’
so I came up with this piece:

last embers caressing – I like the thought of that very much.
Lovely and inviting image…even if of just the last moment before fleeting… Time to tuck in! 🙂
What a lovely after glow. 🙂
