This to me signals the longing and loneliness that one can feel after someone has left (maybe forever). How we try to see the loved one’s face. If one has left each other in disharmony it feels even worse. You see those faces everywhere.

so true on seeing the faces everywhere we look…esp if disgruntled….
Bjorn, I liked that little piece and you found the perfect picture for it. 🙂 — Susan
Great haiku – but I enjoyed your artwork too 🙂
Sometimes I really does seem like nature rejoices in our suffering, doesn’t it? Not so … but … feels like it!
Familiar/unfamiliar faces in nameless clouds…nice imagery with quite a character! 🙂
That pivotal moment, hen her face appears, then appears again maybe, in the ripples of a puddle. Excellent, hard-edged haiku
To be smirked at is always a disconcerting (if not maddening) experience.
Longing for Something
Yes – so true. Smell and whispering sounds I have found, too. And the back of a head and article of clothing (such as a jacket) off in the distance. When they go away forever, the mind wills them back to you for a long, long time.
