Carpe Diem Haiku – Shiba Sonome’s “longing for someone”

This to me signals the longing and loneliness that one can feel after someone has left (maybe forever). How we try to see the loved one’s face. If one has left each other in disharmony it feels even worse. You see those faces everywhere.

left alone –
the disgusted rain-cloud
smirks at me

  1. Great haiku – but I enjoyed your artwork too 🙂
Sometimes I really does seem like nature rejoices in our suffering, doesn’t it? Not so … but … feels like it!

  2. Yes – so true. Smell and whispering sounds I have found, too. And the back of a head and article of clothing (such as a jacket) off in the distance. When they go away forever, the mind wills them back to you for a long, long time.
