wet yukata
I have never been to real hot springs in Japan, but outside Stockholm there is a spa with Japanese bath with artificial hot springs. In there you walk around in slippers and the cotton robes called yukata. It’s a special feeling to wear this uniform for several days and just let yourself be embraced by hot water.
In Iceland however I have been in real volcanic hot springs.
smell of sulphur
the hot water
still is soothing

Bjorn, It sounds like a very soothing place to relax. Well written. 🙂 —Susan
I’ve never experienced real hot springs either, but your haiku helps me experience vicariously. 😉
Beautiful first haiku…sensuous done tastefully. How awesome to have experienced hot springs in Iceland! I could use some healing water for a few days myself ;-O
Iceland is very nice — I have only been there in summer, but the winter darkness and hot springs sounds great to me.
Oh, so fortunate!
Loving both haiku, but the first is exquisite. 🙂
very dynamic and sensual hot springs ~ haiku ~ happy week to you!

Soothing warm bath throughout! Nicely Bjorn!

I enjoyed both haiku…such a soothing place to be!
I live and learn. And enjoy your work.
Both are really nicely penned, Björn, but the first one…sensuality in its best, painting a lovely image of a geisha’ s graceful beauty.
Both of these little glimpses of hot springs warm my soul.
Wasteland Hot Springs
Sounds like I have something I’d like to do in Sweden! Sounds lovely and the Icelandic springs must be heaven (a smelly heaven but one gets used to that 😉 ). Loved this post.
