Carpe Diem – beggar

A masterpiece by Kikaku:

the beggar!
he has Heaven and Earth,
for his summer clothes

Inspired the following haiku from me.

poor man’s eulogy –
autumn winds are blowing still
carrying his ash

  1. And sometimes… ash of the honored also blows in the wind, by request.

…as where my fathers…So the only place to mourn is with the stars.

  2. I am a fan of haiku. It takes skill and thoughtfulness to create much with little. You did it here. Glad I got to read it today!
