Jim’s haiku is:
falling leaves
the house comes
out of the wood
My answer is:
hello horizon! –
with first autumn storm
foliage leaves
I sometimes have a great sense of freedom when the suffocating canopies are bare again. Somehow there is a freedom here, that I feel strongly in Jim’s haiku.

summer bides goodbye
with the last blooming red rose-
oak tree holds back a tear
Have a good weekend too ~
Splendid… 🙂
these two flow nicely together. I admit, while I love the colors of spring, there is something about the bare limbs reaching up to the sky and opening up the landscape that is quite entrancing.
There’s great freedom after the first autumn storm, that’s for sure. It can be a not of a shock though too. Great haiku – loved the accompanying painting too – hadn’t heard of this artist. 🙂
I love this painting! Autumn does offer “free’dom” clarity with leaves no longer taking front stage. Lovely haiku.
always, a good shot on the autumn season.
Bjorn, I loved the fall as a child. We used to jump into the piles of raked leaves. Well written. 🙂 —Susan
I love the way how you’ve responded on this haiku by Kacian Björn … i sense that freedom you’re talking about. What an awesome painting too.
Awesomely done and I love that painting!
just lovely, Björn. I love the turning of both seasons
