I gather filaments of silver air
and run my fingers through your golden hair
the velvet of this summer night caress
and kisses us in moonlit shining flares
Then in the charcoal darkness we undress
as silver on your moonlit skin impress
at night you can me easily ensnare
together we escape your rich noblesse

Escape is frequently a good thing, to be sure.
romantic poem in silver and moonlight – beautiful! K
Love the colors and textures here, Bjorn, and that last line(among many) is excellent.

Night colors to touch, feel and fall in love by… great sight. 🙂
Beautifully romantic.
stunning…I find it quite easy to get lost in this…enchanting.
And I love both the colors and textures! My favorite elements of art in a wonderful poem.
Your words are so beautiful. I read several times… I absolutely love the rhythm.
I love the colorful imagery here, fantastic poem!
Somehow I think summer is more conducive to to temptations!! I enjoyed this, Bjorn.
Before I even saw the image you posted with this the color scheme became rich in mind’s eye…I enjoyed this and especially that aspect of it, Bjorn.
the images of two in surrounding of moon become huge, almost like two planets…wow! impressed! 🙂
This is beautifully done. The rubaiyat is one of my favourite forms, since I first read the Omar Khayyam translation back in my teens. Yours has the same magic of moonlight and opulent imagery.
Bjorn, Lovely poem and beautiful painting. 🙂 —Susan
Brought tears to my eyes for its breathtaking beauty. I loved that kind of adoration and passion in my life…..
Beautiful words and a beautiful image as well. 🙂

Beautiful and intimate.
Very touching, sensuous, Bjorn. Plus an exciting escape for both.
..
Once again, I am blown away by your attention to detail and skilled use of historic forms in your work – the Ruba’i rhymed quatrain: perfect. That and the ethereal aspect of the words you have chosen, infuse the piece with a hushed, dulcet, sensuality that is lovely.
Sounds like a very colorful evening. :o)
Beautiful, Bjorn.
With skill, you grab the reader’s attention with a beautiful first line and finish the poem with an equally strong one. Nicely done!
is that noblesse obliging, I wonder 🙂 ~
ahhh, down to what we are all born with, perhaps we are closer to equals and can enjoy one another. very nice!
