Very rich descriptive haiku
I can’t decide whether this makes me feel as if the creek is stagnant or just moving slowly in the summer heat, but either image works. Well-matched with the painting.

Ah … that speaks summer to me..slow moving!
Was just thinking that the water in our creeks is sluggish and muddy.
This for me represented our water shortage.
