safflower field
benath the periwinkle sky –
sight to dye for

Not often I include a pun in my haiku. Many appologies. The field of safflower actually reminds me of the field of rapeseed that we grow in Sweden. I would like to suggest that for a summer kigo :-).

Bjorn, it was an excellent pun. It wirks in both aspects of the hominym perfectly. Excellent. >KB
Thank you.. sometimes you just want to make a little joke in a serious haiku
Vackert 🙂
the use of “dye” made this piece fun and colorful (wink)
the yellow and blue (two of my favorite colors) was my favorite part.
Very much like the Swedish flag 🙂
Rapeseed for summer-kigo … well I can give it to Jane … wonderful photo you’ve used and your haiku is a gem.
Beautiful! Haiku.
I am back! and ready to blog again. I missed reading everyone’s work on wordpress. I will be posting some new poems very soon. Stay tune. 🙂
ha. fun play on dye….smiles.
Colorful pun indeed….
Bjorn, what a great love of your country you have! The mixture of colors was lovely and the pun fit right in. Good piece with a bit of humor. 🙂

Are you dyeing yet? 😉
Far from Safflower Fields
Not yet, are hue?
No apologies needed for a great pun!
Pun away anytime. I visited a wildlife refuge last year where they showed the plants that were used to create natural dyes. Very interesting.
