As deep within the folds he finds
her luscious nectar to devour
until she wither she might bind
but then he leaves for younger flower

  1. 140 characters are easy-peasy for we Twitterers, right Brother? Your verse works well to the image. I really dig poems of this length, so I found 5 of my own macro-images, & twitted out gold; cool.

  2. I think you might have been waiting for something like this prompt to come along…seemed right on the tip of your tongue and you used it! Luscious folds I like.

  3. I was reading this and I couldn’t help thinking that your poem was more than just about a bee tasting a flower… I saw the bee as a man, intimately tasting his lover but then inevitably leaving her for a tastier, younger woman after he gets his fill. Aha. This poem says alot about relationships and how ephemeral they unfortunately are.

  4. sadly the old are usually cast out for the new…bees no different. Nice micro and macro BR.
