in mud stained boots
steadfast uphill pilgremage
over the hilltop
I will find a meadow
hidden deep within myself

Hidden deep within myself …
Wonderful tanka ~ ‘within yourself’ ~ so true ~ carol, xxx
Yes, you will…you can. Beautiful!
Lovely. We should all seek that quiet within ourselves. In the world today it can be more difficult to find at times.
i adore the Tanka form, this poem is one reason why.
The meadows within are certainly worth exploring!
