Monoliten form the Vigeland-park in Oslo
Entering into the 3rd year we are doing numbers today in dVerse. I choose zero as the first number of Fibonacci sequence, and of course I write fib poetry, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 syllable stanzas. Tomorrow I take a little hiatus and will be absent for a few weeks. Time runs so I’ll soon be back.

So true, eventually everything will probably go full circle. Beginning with zero and ending with zero. This unfortunately some days seems to be the path man(woman)kind is on! I enjoyed the form.
Thank you.. yes I thought fibonacci would fit today’s prompts.
That’s every cleverly done! I really admire your great use of fixed forms.
Enjoy your time off line!
I will have a great time I hope.
I too agree, this is a very clever piece. kudos.
Thank you.. fibonnaci poems are fun to write
A perfect form for this perfect poem, Bjorn. Bon voyage, and I hope you return refreshed!
I think I will…
yikes on the end…yes we do tend to eat one another…and that countdown def will begin at some point…you bring the tension in subtlely there in the middle…i like how you let this build from a very gentle first stanza…
and enjoy your time away man…and thanks for all you do…
fibonacci poems builts tension in a special way.
How clever of you to employ the Fibonacci form here, Bjorn. It is all about numbers, right?
Fibonacci are all about numbers… But I wanted to consider zero because that is the first in the sequence 😉
brilliant work… I love Fibonacci poetry; hence it was a very good read for me.. 🙂
have a good time while you are not blogging.. 🙂
Thanks HA, I have not written Fibonacci before… but it was fun.
Am staring at your photo in awe. And must now go look up Fibonnaci but understand the sequencing of the lines. Hope you are doing something wonderful or fascinating while you are gone. You will be missed.
The photo is from a wonderful sculpture in Oslo. It actually shows how humans are climbing on each other to reach the top. In the bottom they wriggle in pain… very vivid and sad. If you ever go to Oslo it should be on your list.
You slip off for a rest, just as I return from one; my turn to curtsy, your turn to bow, sir. Like the great snake eating its own tail, like the male creatures eating their young, only stopped by the females, the universe, our lives, our catastrophes are all circular, and I adore Zed as the antagonist. Nice job with this form too, of course.
a small rest … will see if I can program a few entries anyway… to appear
Yikes! After such chaos, utter formality. What a bummer! But a beautiful poem.
Zero to zero… a sobering truth.
All the more reason to cram in as many 1 2 3’s as possible.

Ha indeed
Prophetic ending I think… hope it doesn’t all come to a zero, but loved the way you used numbers in this too! Nice form. 🙂
Loved the form and the words. Will miss you!
I enjoyed your (scientific) approach to numbers – Mr. Scientist. Bjorn – we shall all miss you and wish you a lovely vacation!
Enjoyed your poem, and will miss your words. Have fun!
i like how this builds from zero – the growth, development and at some point the shrinking and going back to where it started… a cool write björn and have fun in your holidays
Interesting form and your poem hold a message..a little darkness in play as everyone circles in life and strives to climb that tower..but, it the end are we zero??? Enjoy your break you will be missed while away.
…what starts from nothing ends to nothing… this was great Bjorn… fibonacci is quite new to me… enjoy the trip &/or break… smiles…
I have the image of a huge snake, but I don’t think it will happen in just one swallow. Great response to prompt. k.
Mister just finished a book along these lines. Like what you do, Bjorn. I’d love to listen to you two chat.
ah, powerful, Björn! was wondering if anyone would do a Fibonacci one – brilliantly done.
it all comes down to zero, indeed…
Great Fibonacci sequence. I’ve been meaning to give these ago, and I really love what you’ve done here (“like”button on my ipad not working at the moment for some reason).
Brilliant
Humanity does feed on itself. Enjoy your time away!
