Carpe Diem prompt is Samidare (midsummer rain). To me a summer rain is gentle and kind and sometimes serves as a time to relax.

The Yerres, Rain by Gustave Caillebotte
summer rain
the pitter-patter
on my hat
in afternoons
the smell of summer rain
will spice my tea
I read poetry
to softly playing
summer rain
You surealy have caught the mood of the summer rain. Calm, yet refreshing and full of life in its soft drizzling. The best spice for tea 🙂
Thank you… I enjoyed the prompt…
just beautiful. I can’t pick a favorite. Each one has a special beauty. Thank you!
The second one is exquisite!
All three are wonderful Bjorn. I do like the hat one though – a shared experience perhaps 🙂
Brisbane Summer Rain
These poems complement each other rather well. They paint a beautiful day that touch every sense.
These are enchanting! You drew me right in to the scene! 🙂Sweet Summer Rain
each one – delicately beautiful..
A wonderful Summer rain trilogy of haiku Bjorn. Very nice … I like that painting.
Nostalgic for me … delicate and relaxing.
For me, midsummer rain is always welcomed in very hot and dry TX … on the other hand, being from south Louisiana, midsummer rain can also be a prelude to hurricanes. I’ll take the gentleness instead!! 😀
I love the different sounds it makes
You paint a picture yourself my friend – thanks
Oh, the hat came back to play in the rain! 🙂
