Carpe Diem haiku – Samidare (midsummer rain),

Carpe Diem prompt is Samidare (midsummer rain). To me a summer rain is gentle and kind and sometimes serves as a time to relax.

summer rain
the pitter-patter
on my hat

in afternoons
the smell of summer rain
will spice my tea

I read poetry
to softly playing
summer rain

  1. You surealy have caught the mood of the summer rain. Calm, yet refreshing and full of life in its soft drizzling. The best spice for tea 🙂

  2. Nostalgic for me … delicate and relaxing.

For me, midsummer rain is always welcomed in very hot and dry TX … on the other hand, being from south Louisiana, midsummer rain can also be a prelude to hurricanes. I’ll take the gentleness instead!! 😀
