30 words plus honey, topple and paradigm (total 33 words) is Trifextra challenge this week

temptations of St. Anthony by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo
Lacing her words with honey she said:
“Meet me at vesper under the bell-tower”
He knew it would topple his vows and shake his paradigm,
but hesitating he went for her,
expecting freedom.

I wonder if he found freedom? The “topple his vows and shake his paradigm” makes me think he might end up with more of a mess 🙂
Ha, but maybe a blissful mess
These words and that picture, makes me think he’s going to have the time of his life!
but maybe a mess of his vows… could be worth it.
Love this for the words vesper and bell – tower..perfect match for the painting ..
I love the word vesper… one of my favourite words
Great use of prompt and picture and title …
Thank you 🙂
How could he resist?! This was absolutely delicious!
No way he could resisist
This smacks of illicitness! He won’t resist! The picture is perfect to accompany this post. It just adds that much more to the story. Love this.
Resistance is futile — (the Borg)
Ah Bjorn. A fellow Friday Fictioneer moonlighting in another writing challenge! Good to see you. Nifty little piece. Although I think it should be 30 words + 3 making 33 in total 🙂
Ooops you’re right… I will cut back or accept a disqualification. I moonlight in many writing challenges.
What a temptress, I love it!
🙂 yes that’s for real
temptation, we all have a price. Very good.
Price and reward… 🙂
I get the feeling that he won’t regret this paradigm shift.
Ha, yes that’s depends on himself I think.
Love it. There’s some darkness in both of them and there was an entire sexy story here. One of my favorites
Thank you 🙂
Very nice – and congratulations on first place before.
Thank you, that one came as a surprise to me…
It didn’t take much to persuade him… 😉
A little honey is all it takes — after all it’s called a honey-trap.
A great take on the prompt. Wonder if he might regret toppling those vows?
Doubt it… but it depends on himself.
She must have been quite a seductive woman. I hope it’s worth it to him!
It could be… I think it depends on himself.
“Expecting freedom” – interesting end, almost implying that’s not what he got. Great short piece, brilliantly alluring.
I think there might be some bonds remaining to his vows…
Wow… Alluring piece indeed. What cannot be accomplished with honey-sweet words…
Thank you.. honey in the voice always helps
I love the first-line so devilish!
Thank you 🙂
That expecting freedom throws a quite a twist on it. Bound for disappointment at the very least.
Freedom never come for free, and usually there are other bonds to be expected.
Congratulations on your recent win!
Thanks a lot.. my first ever…
What a great narrative flow in this story.
Thank you Alice 🙂
I hope he has a great time! Alluring story.
What a gorgeous piece of writing!Loved it Bjorn!
The beauty of poetry – it doesn’t have to make sense.
