Ensoul me – Sonnet for #artwiculate

Today the #artwiculate WOTD is ensoul, and I started out in bed writing small couplets. After a while I realized, that this would be a sonnet.

Flowering garden by Vincent van Gogh

Flowering garden by Vincent van Gogh

the blissful sun of May ensouls my days
my garden now awakened by its rays

awakened and now ready to spring forth
are buds of bloom that now ensoul the north

and everywhere I hear the song of birds
their happy symphony ensoul my words

and by the sea the sails are filled by wind
this sight of joy ensouls me, make me kind

I walk in grass that’s wet from morning dew
become ensouled and thus again renew

in silence walk with you, it us ensoul
embrace and thus together we are whole

the verdant spring ensouls, renews the vows
we yet again in mutual love arouse
