Carpe Diem Haiku – Special – Chèvrefeuille’s ‘the cool rain’

Today a Carpe Diem haiku prompt is one of Kristjaan’s own haiku.

the cooing of pigeons
between blooming cherry trees –
the cool rain

So many great words to be inspired from. I choose to be a little melancholic here.

  1. that Gauguin set the perfect mood for your duet, or is it visa-versa….It’s the crows that awaken me too early

  2. I love these both but especially the one about the pigeons at 4 a.m. I am often up very late (I’m a night person) and sometimes I am also woken by the birds. They do all seem to get up at 4 a.m. It is one of the times I can hear by listening. The other is 2 a.m. when there is a racket in the streets because the bars have just closed (I live in a city).
