Carpe Diem is to write haiku inspired by this haiku by Onitsura
the cool breeze
fills the empty vault of heaven
with the voice of the pine-tree
This feels like a lot like Swedish Summer.
pining voices
from high above
in cool breeze

in cool breeze
symphony from swaying trees

beautiful, B! youreally captured the voice of the pine trees!
Thank you 🙂
Whether symphony or lullaby, I would be delighted to hear this music!!
I think it can be described well as susurrus
Beautiful.
Thank you 🙂
sweet and gentle
and the picture is magnificent
Cheers!

Thank you JzB I got such a strong feeling from that inspirational haiku.
Lovely poem, lovely pic. I am always a bit worried under swaying pines – that they will fall! They look so very high. k.
I agree to some extent… but more because I can be quite dizzy by looking up at them.. but laying down on soft moss looking at the swaying firs is so much a summer treat.
You might like this little video I posted a while ago, very short, looking up at them not in summer! (Don’t feel any obligation! Only you might be interested in something of a similar sort on this side of the Atlantic.)

the last one for me BR – stunning contribution.
Thank you…
amazingly serene
Thank you.. 🙂
lovely. love how they flow from one to the next, like a zoom lens that moves in from the skies through the trees to you under the trees. love too the expression ‘woodland lullaby’
Thank you. It was strong inspiration…. when I wrote this.
I believe I hear those pining voices across the ocean…
Beneath the Pine Tree
Oh yes 🙂
the voice of the pine trees…in the south of france they sing their songs as well…in french of course…smiles
Oh french pines must sing a very nicely. These Swedish firs would sway majestically and hum in deep voices.
Beautiful words and a gorgeous photo.
Brilliant take on the prompt and that image is perfect; it goes with the verses so well.
you have transported me – I now lie beneath the pine, with my senses alive….
The symphony of swaying trees never fails to hold my attention and soothe my wounded spirit.
Seductive Pine
Ah, to hear
susurrus of cirrus
filter down the pine dome!!!!
aloha Brudberg – i like that first ku – the voices high up in the trees—yes, i can hear those voices too. cool. aloha.
