Today the word in Carpe Diem Haiku is bamboo. Carpe Diem is an amazing group of people dedicated to write a haiku blog every day and then read each other’s entry. A picture is important to me, an today I choose a woodblock of two lovers under a bamboo umbrella. The print is made by Suzuki Harunobu.

Really beautiful!
Thank you 🙂
What a tender tale you have spun with your words. I love alabaster skin….bamboo umbrella hides the kiss…..bamboo touch…. Well done Bjorn!
Thank you wabi. I loved the picture, so it came easy.
Your wood cuts are so beautiful. How and where do you find them?
Haunting, subtly sensual and finally enigmatic! A beautiful wave of feeling!
Thank you Gemma
Excellent Bjorn. Tales of a life of love under bamboo. I especially love the way you end it at the grave.
Thank you. Maybe a little bit of a love story…
You go full circle, from the birth of love to its death. Touching…
When the Bamboo Sings
Thank you Mark.
i love this! beautiful, various tales of romance ^^
Thank you kz.. With the picture it was easy.
Tender…and I see the circle also…very nice…
Thank you Managua
This short love story is wonderful, as I read the last haiku of this little story it gave me the shivers … how sad … what a strong woman.
I think they had a long and happy life together, and I think he just left a little early.
I like how you’ve spoken directly of the woodblock print. It’s a lovely story.

Always! 🙂 The values that don’t change.
