Carpe Diem Haiku – Winter Camellia (kantsubaki)

Winter kigo on Carpe Diem prompt is Winter Camellia (kantsubaki), or snow Camellia. I found this wonderful wood block carving by Utagawa Hiroshige on Wikimedia Commons.

  1. Wonderful, both the image and the haiku trio.
I specially like the fragile strength of your snow camellia.

  2. Such a strong little flower, though tiny, weak and frail.. Oh, this was just lovely, I love it!! So simple, and yet, so much truth in these cascading lines.. Reminds me so much of my life at the moment, as I have a lot on my plate, but I have no time to be weak and frail, I have to find that strength from within to keep going the distance.. It is by His grace!
