In Sweden mist has been associated with dancing wood fairies. They might seduce men and bring them into the woods forever. Picture is from wikimedia commons.

Today Carpe Diem prompt is mist suggested by Dulcina. The picture is taken in Norway, and after waiting many hours in fog and mist, we finally caught a glimpse of a magnificent view.

Lovely take on mist by mountains ~ Again, I like duvet of ice ~
Sorry to repeat, but duvet is a great word 🙂
oooohhh..love this post, created a huge picture in my head with castles and rooms and hallways…imagewise..thanks..
wish you a spectacular day,
franza
Thank you 🙂
Dancing wood fairies! Now that would be a sight to see. Love your writing.
Thank you 🙂 dangerous but with beauty and grace.
Awesome set of haiku ( in that nice cascading way) on misty days on which sometimes through a gust of wind you can see the most wonderful landscapes.
I like the haiku about the wood faeries too. It’s so familiar with what we call ‘white bitches’ in The Netherlands. Thank you for sharing these wonderfull and imaginative haiku for Carpe Diem.
I love to come up with new ideas around haiku 🙂
Excellent haiku again, I love the images you have created specially the mist duvet and the echoes of the sun… so lovely…
Beautiful pic with the dancing wood fairies, it looks as if they were moving, I can feel them dancing. The haiku is as seductive as the fairies, poor men trying to resist!
:)))
Thank you. The painting I remember seeing in a museum as a kid, and I was seduced by it already then. Thank you for lovely word.
I loved the way you brought mist and fairies together … lovely imagination !!!
Ah, a romantic Swedish image we have.
I like the overlapping lines of this and your next one as well. It is not a haiku technique I am familiar with, but I love the effect. Thank you for visiting and commenting at my blog.
Thank you. It is a technique I recently started, and sometimes it works great.
mist duvet…..very cool….and look out for those wood fairies…
I will stay away. There is a myth of a man sitting in the water playing violin seducing women as well.
“mist duvet” is the loveliest of images! Delightful!
