Windward running carefree wild
dancing with your inner child,
summer beaches wine and song
evening music makes you strong
So, forget November with his rain
Sun still smiling, yet no pain
Not counting days cause it’s time
to mix your gin and cutting limes.

Today it is Quadrille time with Sanaa at dVerse and the word is care.

This is gorgeously rendered, Bjorn 😀 I love the idea of; “dancing with your inner child, summer beaches wine and song.” ❤️❤️
We both used the word ‘carefree’ and, as ever, we have different takes on the word, Björn. I love the sounds and the shapes my mouth makes when reading aloud the line ‘Windward running carefree wild’.
Thank you.. and it felt like a good day for carefree…
Care-fully constructed, Bjorn. Salute
Thank you Ron
Reminds me of the Iron Maiden song, “I’m running free, yeah!” Summer still going strong, ain’t gonna be “thinking of November and his rain” great lines, Bjorn! 🩵
Some rhyming fun for sure
I like your carefree summery poetics, Bjorn!
I love the sense of freedom in this piece Björn so joyful 🙌
Summer on the tongue 👍 Now I have lime trees in the garden I no longer drink gin!
Well done. Just into reading my second poem but so far love what is being done to this prompt.
Sharp and delicious – a refreshing twist of lime! Jae
Ah summer, freedom!
I love the carefree summer vibe!
Such a freedom to this write, Bjorn! Love it!
A totally carefree quadrille
Luv this for you
Thanks for dropping by my blog
much love
I really like the casual, dare I say carefree, nature of this poem… it’s like a beach poem as opposed to a beach novel. And now I want a G&T!
Sounds like a lovely time.
Summer, dancing, beaches…I’m in!
I was sure you’d go dark, but this is definitely summery, carefree, beachy. Sort of a carpe diem vibe–enjoy it now because November will come.
Not counting days cause it’s timeto mix your gin and cutting limes.
Get on with the festivities, Bjorn! A wonderful close!
Hank
Great poem Bjorn! It brings to mind young care free days at the beach.
I love how this poem makes summer feel like a fun escape, where music, sunshine, and fresh limes help you forget the rainy days of November.

This poem is happy in its summer fun. Also, I love G&T’s with lime in the summer!
