Cutting limes

Windward running carefree wild
dancing with your inner child,
summer beaches wine and song
evening music makes you strong
So, forget November with his rain
Sun still smiling, yet no pain
Not counting days cause it’s time
to mix your gin and cutting limes.

  1. This is gorgeously rendered, Bjorn 😀 I love the idea of; “dancing with your inner child, summer beaches wine and song.” ❤️❤️

  2. We both used the word ‘carefree’ and, as ever, we have different takes on the word, Björn. I love the sounds and the shapes my mouth makes when reading aloud the line ‘Windward running carefree wild’.

  3. Reminds me of the Iron Maiden song, “I’m running free, yeah!” Summer still going strong, ain’t gonna be “thinking of November and his rain” great lines, Bjorn! 🩵

  4. A totally carefree quadrille

    Luv this for you

Thanks for dropping by my blog

    much love

  5. I was sure you’d go dark, but this is definitely summery, carefree, beachy. Sort of a carpe diem vibe–enjoy it now because November will come.

  6. Not counting days cause it’s timeto mix your gin and cutting limes.

Get on with the festivities, Bjorn! A wonderful close!

  7. I love how this poem makes summer feel like a fun escape, where music, sunshine, and fresh limes help you forget the rainy days of November.
