Baker, brewer, poet
crafting more from less;
it starts from flour, malt or ink
but with hand and mind
and spiced with time
the craftsman, me
amalgamates what’s simple
into complexity for all your senses;
so please sit down
listen, sniff and taste
enjoy an evening with my
beer and bread
(butter added)
and maybe later. later
I will read my craft for you
to gain strenght
and improve the world.

I love that you introduce yourself as ‘baker, brewer, poet’, Björn, and that you craft more from less: flour, malt or ink. Thank you for the invitation to ‘sit down listen, sniff and taste’. It would a delight to enjoy an evening with your beer, bread and poetry.
I wanted to use it like that… and it all require time to do… both to do and to create
“malt or ink but with hand and mind and spiced with time
the craftsman,” …. love this! Gorgeous write, Bjorn! 💙💙
It’s the time that is most important.
Yes, precisely 😊
the poem is so rhythmic and proved!- just like the craftsman at work
“spiced with time
the craftsman, me
amalgamates”
Time is the perfect spice when it comes to craft
Bjorn, there you go, making me hungry again. “Hunger makes the best of sauces.” I would add, like you said, “the perfect spice” when merried over time. Beautiful poem and I love to see your self-regard ❤
Indeed hunger and time is what many of us need
Björn, that bread looks so tasty – as is your poem 🙌
Once you start baking it is so hard to stop…. the bread you can buy simply doesn’t taste good
Yes I quite agree!
I enjoyed your reflection on craftsmanship and creativity and the connection to how the baker, brewer, and poet all begin with simple ingredients and transform them into something richer.
I think any type of craft should start with the simple ingredients.
No doubt, your reader’s lives are brightened by the aroma of freshly baked bread [smothered in butter] and the lines of poetry you recite.
And homemade beer to go with that 🙂
Thank for the invite! I’d love to sit listen, sniff and taste the beer and bread. The best part the poetry you recite. Enjoy your crafts.
It is something I enjoy…. and it gives me value
I love how you combined meanings in this one, Bjorn, to craft the perfect poem! Well done!
Start with the simple and give it time
Yes!
Oh, your bread sounds divine
Once you started to do it…. it is simply impossible to stop
I made bread during Covid. Now life just gets faster and faster so I buy it.
I love how you tied “beer and bread (butter added)” to poetry itself — it feels earthy and generous, like sharing sustenance.

Bread and salt in some cultures 🙂
I’m so hungry now….
Good… we need to be a bit hungry
A finely crafted loaf! How good it is to break bread and whiff the steam.
Indeed… it’s poetry
That bread looks wonderful – I would travel to Sweden for that alone… When I used to do signwriting and specialist decorating, I often reflected on the same sensitivity that knows how much paint is left in a brush-stroke and the sensitivity in say , making a roux into a sauce…
Sense-ational, Björn. Love the enriching way you combine crafts to make a singular work of satisfaction.
Yummers, Master Baker of breads and poetry.
Both you and the aged librarian surely improve the world.❤️
