Your shadow is more the apparition of a dream
neatly bled from lost syllables
than the feathers left behind from a hawk’s dinner
outside the station of a metro.

Today Sanaa invites is to play a game of poetry monopoly today at dVerse and leaves us with several choices. My choice was to combine the imagist poem ‘In a Station of the Metro’ byEzra Pound. I also remember a poem I wrote a few years ago Arrangement for eight feathers where I used one of the poem and reworked it a bit.
Good choice, Björn, and I love your poem.
Thank you…. it was kind of easy when I remembered my old feather poem.
This is stunning work done, Bjorn! I love the idea of an “apparition of a dream neatly bled from lost syllables.” Thank you so much for writing to the prompt 💙💙
A bit of a rework really…. but it was fun to write.
I am glad to hear that! 😊

Lovely poem, Bjorn. A great re-working.
Beauty in brevity…you knock us over with a feather.

Syllables Lost ~~~ for me those words are profound. Great response to the challenge, Bjorn.
A stunning imagist poem, every line a compressed expression of emotion.
