Moving myself
waltzing to melodies
moonminded
mindlessly mesmerised
lunaticked wolflike
howling the hues
of silver on cobalt
transfixed
in her gaze
I am tethered to sequins
her luster, her sheen
my madam forever
my midnight, my moon.
Today Mish hosts dVerse Open Link, and she has offered us the miniprompt to use the miniprompt with the moon and two different pictures. My choice was to use the one above.

Wow! This is gorgeously rendered, Bjorn! 🩷🩷 I especially admire this part;
“howling the hues
of silver on cobalt
transfixed
in her gaze”
I went a little mad in the moonlight.
A great response to the mini prompt, Björn. I love the title, the alliterative ‘mindlessly mesmerised’, and especially ‘howling the hues of silver on cobalt’.
The moon has its own way to inspire.
It does.
Lady Luna has her ways. I like those lines Sanaa highlighted also.
Thank you…
If the moon was an actual she, she’d definitely be all a blushing! 🙂
Ha… I think she can handle more than we think.
So lovely in alliteration, romanticism and flow. I absolutely love the word “moonminded”.
Thank you… alliteration is what I love best.
A call, a howwl, beseeching to the strange eerie presence above us, the moon that casts mood and glow, a verse that sounds as good as what it says, the need of the poet to be pulled..
moonminded and lunaticked – what great words for describing the influence of the moon.
Great take on the art.
Very sensual!
“tethered to sequins” … love! ❤
Lunaticked wolflike… I feel that under the moon.
Oh, this was wonderful – moonminded – that is a fresh word. The moon does have an allure.
Moon Madam is so beautiful!
Moon is considered male in some cultures.
Earth is female 🙂
And the sun is female, as well as the star. You are referring to the culture of Norway … 😊
Both Sun and Moon & most planets are male Gods in India.
While Earth is Goddess.
Excellent
‘howling the hues’
Wonderful line ☺️
Nicely done
Ah lovely! Such a pure wordplay 🤩
Beautifully writ, Bjorn. Among my favorites of yours!
Fabulous wording. I especially like, “moonminded
mindlessly mesmerised” and “howling the hues.” She definitely has you in a trance.
Well done, Bjorn. I think we all get enamored by sequins!
Obviously she has a grip on you. I suggest you make her cultural … – (varg att vara?) – 🦁
There’s a fine madness in that moonlight! My dad tells me his father used to go around pulling the shades when there was a full moon so that no one caught the frenzies. What he sorely missed.
In the words of Ian Dury (Hit Me With Your Rhythm-stick) “It’s nice to be a lunatic…”
Oh, wow! Love the flow and of course the alliteration!
“I am tethered to sequins.” Love it! I missed the Mr. Linky link but published a link on the reular site. The boycott messed me up on my posting…Not that I haven’t missed the cutoff date before. So, we are on the moon now, right?
Beautiful.
It’s beatiful!
I really enjoyed reading your poem Moonmind, Bjorn. The way you describe the moon feels personal and intimate, almost like a love poem, and it captures the obsession and pull the moon has on the speaker in a captivating way. I regularly review poetry, past and present, and I’ve shared your poem, which you can find at this link. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing more of your poetry. Best, Adam
