Always forever

Always the lies, denial of facts
repeating deceits, alternative truths
Always the acts, obscuring his fears
by never be silent or seeking advice
Always the smears, spreading his venom
those who oppose are enemies, foes
Always in plenum with those of his cult
chanting together of greatness in him
Always forever, the champion, a king
but never, no never a grown-up, never adult

  1. This is stellar writing here, Bjorn! I resonate with “Always in plenum with those of his cult chanting together of greatness in him.”

  2. The repetition of one word is often more effective than a phrase or line, Björn, and I really like the juxtaposition of ‘always forever’ and ‘never, no never’. Is this who I think it is?

  3. Well done — well said, and v interesting theme/form of poetry…but also needed, so much. Again a lexical mastery that amazes..

  4. I love the character sketch Bjorn with the emphasis on Always and Never. Very familiar to me and maybe applies to a lot of folks in the public office. Great use of repetition.

  5. Why do I feel confident that I know exactly who you mean? 😉 Is this person a little senile, a lot stinky, and very far up his own butt?

  6. Every drop of commentary that swells the ocean that is needed to overwhelm this particular person and his ilk is both needed and welcome at this juncture, Björn…

  7. Stellar write, Bjorn! You hit a target that is slimy, wiggly, evil, criminal, dishonest ~~~ but you hit him right in the good old BULLSEYE!! Cheers.

  8. Wonderful use of repetition to drive your point home! I think I have an idea who the intended target was. It’s beautiful, isn’t it, how much words can convey when one reads between the lines.

  9. Sounds like a typical elitist party boss. Not that shrill woman with the trousers that never seem to fit, but most of the people she’s not blocked from her web site are probably JUST like that.
