Meandering, bemoaned each
minute detail, on how to catalogue
he dreamt in Dewey Decimal,
each word, a part unique, to be tagged,
but like blended hues turns grey
his certified collections diminished until
I found a box with the library inside
Brushstroked wide, ideas always merge
turning into mournful shades of -isms,
simple, self-evident — a blancmange of tropes
giving little guidance except
that war is wrong or love is good,
but every devil lurking in the details
are glossed and cloaked in ember policies,
so at the end of days, it’s all compressed.
I found a box with the library inside
So let’s unpack, expand, enlight
ourselves and dress the drought in bloom
and act. Let’s move and shake from books
the verses fit for fancy of the mind.
So when at last at dawn we will
remember, cherish love this enraptured day
I found a box with the library inside.
Laura hosts dVerse MTB today where we are writing Bop poetry form. Come and be inspired. What is in your box?

This is a great poem. I especially like the last stanza. I have a library of 3,000 books 📚
Thank you, and it makes sense, in a Bop, the last stanza should give the conclusion.
Yes, I saw that when I read the prompt shortly after reading your poem.
A box with a library inside! Brilliant, Björn! I love that the librarian ‘dreamt in Dewey Decimal’, and the lines:
‘… Let’s move and shake from books
the verses fit for fancy of the mind.
So when at last at dawn we will remember,
cherish love this enraptured day’.
Thank you… it had to be a library when I couldn’t find the right inspiration.
Love it….and he dreamt in Dewey Decimal! What else?
Of course
Brilliant! what a big box for the Bop – so good to hear from the librarian who “dreamt in Dewey Decimal,”
That is what he dreams in.
A box with a library containing a universe of hope, I think. Love these lines: “let’s unpack, expand, enlight
ourselves and dress the drought in bloom” — a librarian’s dream, Björn.
Yes.. it is catalogued and we can just expand it into wisdom again…
I get the problem in the first two stanzas, when too much information makes mud.
Information overload…yes we know it all too well
I love this line: “he dreamt in Dewey Decimal”
Dealing with books… that’s the consequence.
OMG another profound Aged Librarian
AND
I’ really impressed withthe AI image
much🤍love
Sometimes the AI interpret it just right.
The Directed Digital Extrapolation (DDE) technique I developed really helps the AI bot deliver pretty solidly the result I seek. You must lead the bot strictly, and it still requires several editing remixes — but the AI can be directed to behave reasonably well everytime. I use Midjourney Alpha. If you’re curious Björn, below here is the link regarding my DDE steps.

I love the idea of a box with a library inside, it is a box full of wisdom, hope and dreams.
Pandoras more benign cousin I think
I wish dreams were made like this, “he dreamt in Dewey Decimal,” Liked your take on the librarian, Bjorn. He always is excited to try something new. 🙂
Books are always in your dreams.
A very interesting and unique take Bjorn
Thank you… I had fun reading this.
You’re welcome 😉
Box with a library inside is such a good line; to me it would be a line used to describe my brain. Really lovely write!
Thank you, and yes I feel the same… and as you know I love libraries.
Where can I find one of these boxes 🙂 ??
I think they soon can be found at any landfill waiting to be salvaged.
Powerful Björn! Loved the AI image.
I use bing/create, it’s free and easy to use.
Of course! The library! The art you and AI created is stunning and I loved your poetry especially “ideas always merge turning into mournful shades of -isms.” Thank you for reading mine and leaving me a comment.
Your old librarian might like having a box like yours. I like the picture that Bing and AI found for you. I sometimes can find one suitable for using.
..
It is amazing how you write something new about the library or the librarian!
The library works as a metaphor to project my thoughts on.
It is amazing how every time you write about the library or the librarian, you bring a fresh angle.
“dreamt in Dewey Decimal,” is brilliant!
Love it.
”and dress the drought in bloom”
I really like this wording.👁️
