When brimmed with bloom your brain will glow
filled is mind with with warmth of summer
forget the gloom of war, to grow,
to brim with bloom your brain to glow
with giggle-glitter painted snow
this winter cold is not a bummer
when brimmed with bloom your brain can glow
and mind is filled with warmth of summer

Today Grace hosts dVerse OLN, and as part of our new setup we are also given an optional mini-prompt and today the starting point is the picture I have used, and we may use the picture and/or the name of the painting to create a poem.
My choice was to do triolet (a long time since I did one) and use the image more as a metaphor for positive thinking.

“with giggle-glitter painted snow” love this line.❄️
I sounds happy I think… I written too much dark lately
It does! Oh well, I always enjoy your writing. I understand it can be draining to write lots of dark.
I loved that line, too! “Giggle-glitter” is going to be a thing from now on.
Love using the image for positive thinking! Note: you might want to correct second and last line: “with” is repeated in line.
Thank you… those flowers growing lookes so happy
Bjorn, I like where your blooming mind took this. Hope you had a happy birthday!
It reallu looked like happy thought blooiming from her head.
Yes it does!
So far we’ve all chosen the mini-prompt, Björn, which says a lot for the image. I like the form of the triolet, use of alliteration, and that you used the image as a metaphor for positive thinking. I especially like the repeated lines:
‘when brimmed with bloom your brain can glow
and mind is filled with warmth of summer’
and the sparkling phrase ‘giggle-glitter painted snow’.
I thought how much we need positive thinking while still in the grip of winter.
Nice one Björn
Much♡love
Thank you
Bloom my brain with summer warmth – love this positive take on a gloomy weather. Also love: giggle-glitter painted snow.
Thank you … I enjoyed writing to the picture, and I think it fitted the form.
Adore the ending the most, and I really like that you used both the poem and the image and the prompt to connect it with positivity. I think the form you chose as well makes it sound like a mantra, and it just encompasses all the answer to possible questions needed, it really gives it a fulness.
Thank you… writing triolets really fit a positive message.
The warmth of summer sounds delightful, right now I’d be happy with glimpse of spring. A triolet! One of my favorite forms. I haven’t been here in a while. I hope all is well.
I like the lightness of this Bjorn, an ee cummings feel to the language..JIM
like the way you found the positive in the image
Positive words.
The warmth of summer!
May the glow last forever
What a delight!!!
I like a mind filled with warmth of summer!
What a lovely tongue-twister of words! Including the title itself 🙂
I love “giggle-glitter painted snow”–it sounds so happy!
Not to be a broken record but the ‘giggle-glitter painted snow’ sounds like a dose of magic we all need! Love where you took the prompt!
You certainly lit a dark-dispelling light with this one Björn…
Very nice positive bloom for the mind!
I love the repetition in this! It works very well when read aloud.
I love your blending of seasonal imagery and the warmth of summer!

I think I can feel the onset of spring from your poem. It is happy and uplifting and I totally love it.
